Subrogation / Estates Attorney The candidate communicates company legal position to clients and attorneys related to casualty and estate recovery cases. Analyzes and stays current on health care subrogation laws, regulations, and policies. Serves as primary liaison with subrogation clients. Works with company-wide resources to ensure key client deliverables and revenue goals are met. Develops and manages budget and revenue expectations for a specific market (i.e. state or group of states). May have full P&L responsibility. Identifies sources of revenue through use of sales and marketing skills. Leads sales efforts throughout assigned market. Works with clients and stakeholders to shape procurements and identify opportunities for value added services. Leads procurement processes and RFP responses. Introduces, negotiates, and implements new projects to expand scope of engagement. Monitors competitor activity, legislative and regulatory initiatives, and agency concerns and contracts. Develops and presents reports and other written communication to the client and internal staff. Interacts with executives, supporting staff, state constituencies including legislators and governor's staff. Ensures overall service delivery and client satisfaction for assigned market. May supervise additional account management staff. Supports collaboration between account management team and operations staff. Performs other functions as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of account management experience. Must be an attorney licensed to practice in the State of New Jersey. Should preferably have experience in one of the following areas: health insurance, government, client service/business to business, healthcare policy, and industry with high level of compliance. Medicaid experience is highly preferred. Working knowledge of HIPAA privacy and Security rules is required. The ability to understand company's legal position in relation to casualty and estate recovery cases is essential. Excellent client management skills are needed. Superior presentation skills are a must. The ability to negotiate and collaborate is required. The ability to work proficiently with MS Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and company databases is a prerequisite.
