Corporation Counsel The candidate prosecutes civil actions in court (i.e. guardianship, protective placement, mental health commitments, child support enforcement, county ordinance violations, JIPS, CHIPS, and TPR); assists the District Attorney’s office with prosecution; and manages the operations of the Corporation Counsel department. Must be a licensed and qualified attorney to practice law in the State of Wisconsin before any court having trial or appellate jurisdiction over Clark County, and have 3-5 years’ experience in the practice of law, preferably in municipal law. Candidates must work cooperatively, accurately, and efficiently with the Clark County Board of Supervisors and its subunits, elected officials, department heads and employees.
