Legal Assistant/Calendar Clerk The candidate responsibilities include: Assisting attorneys in all aspects of litigation including scheduling and coordination of court assignments; Scheduling appointments and monitoring attorney calendars; Record and enter motions, orders, deposition and court dates in the office case management system; Schedule and confirm depositions; Generating legal pleadings, discovery, preparing correspondence; Assist with client intakes; Organizing and maintaining client case files; Drafting letters and documents; Filing voluminous legal documents; Experience composing, proofreading and editing documents. Answering phones, directing calls and taking messages. Handle various office duties such as mail management, faxing/scanning, etc. Able to handle ever-changing priorities to support business needs.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have High school diploma or equivalent. Must have 3-5 years administrative support experience. Familiarity with State and Federal court procedures and rules is needed. Should have knowledge of e-filing in both State and Federal Courts. Should have knowledge of legal terminology and procedures. Must display excellent written/verbal communication. Should have ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Database and records management skills are needed. Should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies. Must have highly proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
