Criminal Paralegal (Temporary) Duties: Responsible for processing criminal cases for trail preparation including legal documents, date entry, and correspondence. Conduct thorough research to effectively support legal proceedings. Prepare attorney(s) for depositions, hearings and meetings, including travel arrangement if necessary. Communicate (orally and in writing) detailed summaries and analysis of review findings. Log notes on CLIO following activity. Periodically review case status. Ensure all correspondence is uploaded in CLIO and filed. Communicates with law enforcement individuals at the federal, state, and local level, the general public, and victims or witnesses in criminal cases. Answer/return client calls and update clients within 48 hours. Complete and respond to emailed task/call lists. Send hearing reminders to clients. Assist in calendar monitoring.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience as a Criminal Paralegal working under an attorney or law firm. Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) with written and verbal proficiency. Case Management software experience. Interpersonal, Organizational, and Time management skills of the highest caliber. Excellent analytical, research, verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in CLIO, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Google Spreadsheets, Google Drive.
