Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Southwest Minneapolis is seeking a full-time Trust and Estate Planning Attorney. The firm is looking for a passionate, motivated, and organized professional who has at least 2 years of estate planning experience. The ideal candidate will be a goal-oriented problem solver with excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong desire to help clients achieve their goals through estate planning services.

Location:

  • Minneapolis, MN

Duties:

  • Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, and other estate planning documents for clients
  • Advise clients on asset distribution and the creation of their estate plans
  • Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs and forming effective strategies for their estate planning
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current and future clients through consistent communication
  • Provide exceptional client service while helping clients secure their family's future

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active Minnesota law license
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in estate planning
  • Experience in dispute resolution, probate, elder law, MA benefits, special needs planning, or litigation is a plus
  • Highly proactive approach to professional work
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence
  • Motivated to grow professionally, financially, and personally
  • No existing book of business or portables required

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Minnesota law license

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of estate planning, including wills, trusts, and healthcare directives
  • Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and develop strategies
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
