ProfileSenior Legal Counsel The candidate will provide coordinated legal advice, with internal and external counsel, to company operating divisions and other departments, including Land, Marketing, Exploration and New Ventures, and Corporate Development. Advise and participate in the review of significant oil and gas legal matters, including leases, division orders, unitization, operating agreements, AMIs, JOAs, purchase and sale agreements, commodity sale agreements, land trades, seismic agreements, confidentiality agreements, easements, title matters. Advise on royalty matters, deductions and impacts for transactions, acquisitions and litigation. Drafting core E&P and midstream agreements, master service agreements, and other procurement agreements. Develop and maintain a reputation for high ethical standards and integrity across the organization as well as with external parties. Must have Juris Doctorate degree with a strong academic record from an accredited U.S. law school. Should have 6-10 years of upstream oil and gas experience at a top law firm and/or in-house department. Licensed to practice law in one of the following states: TX, OK, UT or ND is must.
