Senior Legal Assistant
The candidate will be performing administrative responsibilities requiring good judgment, discretion and knowledge of the organizational structure, policies and procedures. Intellectual Property (IP) Creation & Counseling support for Intellectual Property Counsel (IPCs): Provide docket administration and processing status updates in the IP tracking system (the Vault), Process outsourcing of drafting tasks to outside agents, including generation of retainer e-mails and purchase orders, Prepare filing forms for issue fee submissions and patent applications, including new provisional applications, national phase entries, and continuing US applications, Prepare and e-file responses to Missing parts and other non-substantive notices, E-file application, responses, issue fee submissions, and other communications with the USPTO, Gather signatures for assignment documents and declarations, Responsibilities may include preparing PCT applications, preliminary amendments for national phase entries, responses to simple Office actions, for example, but not limited to addressing formalities objections, and review materials for semi-annual revaluation meetings and/or monthly priority-setting meetings; handling other advanced IP creation tasks and cleaning up formatting for draft agreements, College degree or equivalent experience preferred, 5+ years legal administrative assistant experience with progressive responsibility, Effective communicator with clients, customers, and colleagues on legal matters¸ Organized and detail oriented, Able to manage multiple and varied projects in a timely and effective manager, Experience in calendaring and making both domestic and international travel arrangements, Experience working in a large, global company strongly preferred; ability to deal with different time zones, currencies, work practices and schedules, and cultural difference, Proficient computer skills: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Pro.
