Legal Secretary / Assistant (Insurance Defense / Civil Litigation) The candidate plays an intricate role in the day-to-day operations as the legal assistant will assist with case management, legal document preparation, billing projects, and time entry. Duties will include scanning incoming mail, calendaring deadlines, speaking with clients and various courts, occasional runs to the court, legal document preparation and retrieving the mail along with other general office duties. Should have 2+ years of experience. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel. Must have expertise with reviewing medical records and compiling medical chronologies. Must have Active knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure, preparing and responding to discovery, subpoenas as well as knowledge and experience in preparing basic legal documents and pleadings. Should be familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word and Excel.
