Contract Administrator The candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, analyzing, negotiating, all company contracts under the supervision of legal and filing and maintaining all contracts in the contract database. Types of contracts will include request for proposals, the purchase of goods and services for the company, electric sales agreements, fiber optic sales agreements, business partnerships, memorandums of understanding, etc. In addition, the Contract Administrator will ensure an efficient process of contract management and that all contracts conform to legal and company requirements. Draft new contracts according to company guidelines across the company. Negotiate contract provisions with internal and external customers. Review and update existing contracts. Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract provisions. Maintain templates and standards for existing and new contracts. Track authorizations and correspondence/. Provide contract summaries and ensure contract execution in accordance with company policy. Contact customers to secure any missing documents necessary to complete the contracting process. Prepare contract change notices, monitor contractor performance, including reporting and deliverables. Maintain organized system of physical and digital records in the contract database. Maintain a file for each contract which will include original contract, all correspondence, changes/deviations, amendments, clarifications, payment schedules. Implement and manage the internal and external process for execution and filing of agreements. Explain contract terms and conditions to managers and interested parties. Ensure that employees understand and comply with contract provisions. Ensure that a counter-party is in compliance with contract provisions, legal requirements, and government regulations. Ensure all deadlines and conditions described in contracts are met. Prepare and disseminate information to appropriate employees regarding contract status. Serves as primary point of contact between legal and various business and sales functions on contract matters. Assist and support the legal department as needed.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelorâ€™s degree. Paralegal Certificate or Legal Assistant Certificate a plus. Should have 3 yearsâ€™ experience as contract administrator for a company, corporate paralegal, or professional experience in a law firm or corporate legal department setting. Must have experience as contract administrator for a company, corporate paralegal, or professional experience in a law firm or corporate legal department setting. Knowledge of legal requirements involved with contracts is required. Electric and communication utility experience a major plus. Should have familiarity with accounting procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with a contract management database is needed. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
