A law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney with experience in class action defense and mass torts/MDL litigation. The ideal candidate will have strong advocacy skills and a proven track record in handling complex litigation matters.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Defend clients in class action lawsuits involving false advertising, product defects, false representation, and other related claims.
  • Handle mass tort and multidistrict litigation (MDL) matters.
  • Utilize experience with California Unfair Competition Law (UCL) in litigation strategy.
  • Draft pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents related to class certification, summary judgment, and discovery responses.
  • Conduct depositions, oral arguments, and expert witness interviews.
  • Manage case deadlines, court appearances, and client communications effectively.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California in good standing.
  • 3-6 years of experience in class action defense and mass tort/MDL litigation.
  • Experience briefing class certification and/or summary judgment motions.
  • Strong background in product liability litigation is advantageous.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex cases concurrently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to litigation.

 

Education and Certifications:
