A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney with over 3 years of expertise in general liability and/or construction matters to join their dynamic team in Sacramento, CA. This full-time role offers a hybrid work environment, giving the flexibility to work remotely and in-office. The successful candidate will bring strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in handling depositions, court appearances, mediations, and drafting legal motions.
Duties
- Advise clients on legal matters, offering guidance on best practices and legal strategies.
- Prepare, review, and manage legal documents including contracts, memos, motions, and discovery documents.
- Participate in legal proceedings such as trials, hearings, and mediations.
- Handle depositions of experts and witnesses, ensuring thorough preparation and documentation.
- Develop comprehensive trial briefs and support the legal team throughout case preparation.
- Maintain case files from start to finish, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
- Conduct legal research to interpret laws and rulings and assess legal risks for clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates on case progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet deadlines and achieve case objectives.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, specifically in general liability and/or construction law.
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in California.
- Proficiency in preparing legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to negotiate and persuade in legal matters.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Competency with legal software and technology tools.
Education
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
