The role involves independently analyzing intricate legal questions, managing document revisions, and providing clear feedback to junior associates.

Duties:

• Drafting and Negotiation: Draft and negotiate complex business and capital transaction agreements.
• Editing and Feedback: Apply strong editing skills to delegated writing assignments and provide constructive feedback to other associates.
• Legal Analysis: Independently analyze and evaluate complex legal issues, offering strategic options and recommendations.
• Document Management: Manage and incorporate comments from supervising attorneys and opposing counsel, negotiating revisions as needed.
• Issue Tracking: Prepare and maintain concise issue lists of open points; revise documents promptly and accurately.
• Correspondence: Draft substantive emails, memos, and correspondence related to key legal and contractual issues in a client-ready form.
• Client Interaction: Effectively communicate with clients and provide clear, actionable legal advice.

Requirements:

• Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensure: Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
• Experience: 2 years of corporate and health law experience in a large law firm.
