Housing Litigation Associate 35683 59385 The candidate will be responsible for the following: Assisting Staff Attorneys with conferences and settlements of cases; Filing legal documents in the various County Clerk’s Offices. Organizing tenant action files for court; Assisting with the preparation of default judgments, transcripts, satisfactions, lis pendens, and serving judgments through the mail; Completing affidavits of service; Recording and retrieving court cases restored to the calendar; Coordinating the transporting of files to and from court; Updating the disposition of cases in the Litigation Management System; Assisting Staff Attorneys in preparation of legal pleadings and other necessary documents for various types of litigation; Providing administrative support to the unit.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have High school graduation or equivalent and 3+ years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above. Knowledge of computer entry/ability to learn and use computer database is preferred.
