Fall Internship The interns will be asked to answer phones, run errands, research legislation for the Member and legislative staff and attend hearings and briefings. As a result, interns will learn about the legislative process and the many functions of a congressional office. The hours are flexible to accommodate students' course schedules but generally run 8:30 am to 6:00 pm when Congress is in session, and 9:00 am to 5:00 pm when in recess.
