ProfileLegal Assistant The candidate will maintain all case calendaring for the office. This includes, but is not limited to, scheduling hearings, responses, depositions, affidavits, and vacations. Will prepare legal documents, appearance and answers, requests for production, interrogatories, subpoenas, jury instructions and other miscellaneous correspondence as requested. Contact clients to verify current whereabouts, accident details, attendance at court, and arbitration hearings. Coordinate court reporters attendance for depositions and trials. Administrative duties such as answering phones, filing, making copies, and faxing. Maintain an accurate summary of assignments on a weekly/monthly basis for performance evaluation. Some college coursework is required; 4 year degree is preferred. Paralegal certification is preferred. Should have 2+ years of previous administrative support experience in a legal environment. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical journals/procedures, and financial reports and data. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures. Excellent verbal communication skills are needed. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are needed.
