Duties:
- Represent management in labor-related disputes, including NLRB proceedings, union elections, and representation hearings.
- Provide strategic counsel on grievances, arbitrations, and labor relations.
- Lead and support collective bargaining negotiations and related contract matters.
- Advocate for clients in various labor disputes and contractual negotiations.
- Assist clients in developing strategies to foster positive employee relations and resolve workplace issues.
- Draft and review legal documents including labor contracts, arbitration decisions, and compliance reports.
- Present oral arguments in labor-related arbitration proceedings.
- Ensure clients remain compliant with both federal and state labor laws.
- Offer legal counsel on a broad range of labor law topics, from union management to workplace policies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in labor law, particularly in managing labor relations or experience at the NLRB.
- Proficient in handling NLRB proceedings, grievance arbitrations, union elections, and collective bargaining.
- Strong advocacy skills with the ability to present clear and compelling oral arguments.
- Excellent writing abilities for drafting legal documents and research papers.
- Solid experience in managing labor disputes and negotiations effectively.
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and propose practical solutions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active law license in the state of Missouri or eligibility to be admitted to the Missouri bar.
