Judicial Clerkship

Law Clerk - District Court The candidate will be responsible work conducting legal research activities for a Judge of a District Court of Appeal. Work involves considerable interpretation and judgment in the analysis of a variety of legal issues brought before the court. Working relationships are established primarily with judges, other law clerks, the Clerk and secretarial staff within the court. Work is performed under the direction and general supervision of a Judge and is reviewed in progress as required and upon completion.
Qualification and Experience
Graduation from an accredited law school and membership in the Florida Bar is required. Graduate from an accredited law school preferably in the upper 10% of law school class with law review or comparable experience preferred. If awaiting results of Florida Bar or prior to taking Florida Bar exam. Must be a member of The Florida Bar or applicants for admission. Excellent academic credentials as well as superior research, writing, and analytical skills required. Strong preference will be given to applicants with law review or comparable journal experience or moot court experience. Vacancy beginning May 1, 2016.
