Paralegal / Legal Assistant Duties: Contact with counsel, judicial officers, and clients. Coordination of attorney schedule & appointments. Calendaring court related dates and discovery deadlines. Taking dictation and formatting letters. Drafting of financial disclosures, discovery, subpoenas, pleadings, and other related judicial counsel forms. Litigation support. Maintaining and tracking MCLE schedules for attorney. File management and organization. Occasional errands.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: College degree or paralegal certificate highly desirable. 3+ years' California family law experience, experience in Contra Costa County preferred. Experience with California Discovery. Knowledge of Local and State rules of court and filing procedures. Detail orientated. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Tech savvy, current programs include HotDocs, Clio, Essential Forms, and DissoMaster. Ability to work under pressure & multi-task. Excellent communication and writing skills. Must be familiar and able to research with local court rules, CA Rules of Court, CCP and FC.
