Facility Operations Specialist - GS 11 The candidate responsible for facility management planning to include the utilization, development, maintenance, cybersecurity and physical security aspects, and execution of an annual work plan. Serves as the technical liaison between office and communications facilities and the Branch Chief, contractors, and higher headquarters for assigned tasks and projects. Develops facilities management scopes of work to support and execute the annual operating budget covering multiple facilities across three states and within 16 dam sites. Responsible for the planning, development, organization, coordination, and maintenance of operations facilities, including communications facilities in remote areas. Prepares concept plans, reviews plans for technical sufficiency, and serves as the project manager when assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have followiong qualifications: In order to qualify, must meet the education or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: 1 year of specialized experience which includes performing facility management planning such as identifying maintenance requirements and coordinating a building maintenance program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. [remove LL.M., if unrelated] with a major study in engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
