Chemical Patent Agent The candidate' will involve patent preparation and prosecution and support for opinion work: drafting patent applications, oral and written communication with clients (inventors, in-house counsel, tech transfer offices, etc.), analyzing prior art, analyzing USPTO Office Actions, and developing and writing persuasive arguments in response to Office Actions both in the U.S. and abroad. Job Requirements: Should have strong academic credentials and a BS degree in Chemical Engineering or an advanced degree in Chemistry. While not required, preferred candidates will also have at least one year of experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications, in addition to strong writing and analytical skills. Individuals with the above experience, but without a US Patent Office registration number may also apply as a technical advisor but passing the patent bar within 2 years of employment would be expected. Will be working and learning from some of the most talented professionals in intellectual property law.
