Tampa office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks an employment law attorney with 5+ years of civil litigation experience as a practicing attorney including 3+ years of practice with a focus on employment law. The candidate will assist with managing a diverse portfolio of clients and cases within the employment practice group. These matters involve various employment issues, including wage and hour, workplace safety, restrictive covenants, discrimination, retaliation, disability accommodations, family and medical leave, termination, etc. As an advisor, help client companies manage their business operations with respect to compliance with various employment laws and regulations. This involves reviewing, revising, and/or preparing company policies and practices, employee handbooks, and various employment agreements. This also involves advising clients regarding specific employment circumstances or incidents. As an advocate, represent clients in litigation, administrative investigations and proceedings, and dispute resolution proceedings (mediations and arbitrations). Responsibilities include consistent interactions directly with the client, preparing and responding to pleadings and discovery, court appearances, depositions, trial work, and strategic negotiations and dispute resolution. Regularly collaborate with other attorneys at our firm to manage each of the assigned cases. Advise employers regarding various employment practices and compliance with applicable employment laws. Review, revise, and draft various employment policies, manuals, and agreements for employers. Consult with clients to ascertain the details, issues, and merits of each case. Conduct legal research. Draft and respond to legal pleadings, motions, and discovery requests. Represent clients at meetings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials. Must be admitted to practice law in Florida. Admission in other states is a plus.
