ProfileManager - Telephone Regulatory The candidate will be responsible for managing, researching, and synthesizing data, and for overseeing state and federal regulatory compliance related to 911 service. Will be responsible for helping to draft tariffs and price guides related to our competitive voice services. Coordinate and compile information and documentation from various internal departments, to work effectively as part of a larger team, and to prepare, maintain and file documents related to telecommunications regulatory and compliance matters with state and federal agencies. Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Ensure companyâ€™s 911 compliance; act as day-to-day liaison/escalation point for 911 and interaction with internal stakeholders related to implementation and management of regulatory requirements. Acts as a Regulatory interface for new voice launches, including 911 and tariff requirements. Performs outreach to Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) for contact and notification data in support of new voice launches. Process Selective Router, ALI Database and new market requests for NPA-NXX additions or ports. Updates and maintains internal 911 and regulatory docket databases. Manages an ongoing list of covered business customers for annual FCC 911 Reliability Certification; tracks annual filing dates, audits, and prepares filing for approval; submits approved filings in FCC systems. Supervises compliance issues with internal stakeholders and coordinates the development of telecom regulatory filings with state and federal authorities (e.g., tariffs and commission data requests). Oversees and prepares transmittal files of tariffs and price guides for customer websites and ensures up-to-date and accurate online tariff and price guide information. Manages the collection and coordination of data required for regulatory filings; coordinates the drafting, review and necessary internal approvals. Represents Regulatory in internal company project meetings to ensure compliance with regulations; also provides project analysis and ongoing updates to management. Tracks open issues and prepares status reports as needed; also prepares, distributes and follows up on compliance reviews. Performs research and support for internal company initiatives and regulatory matters, as needed. Performs other duties, as required.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelorâ€™s degree in relevant area. Paralegal Certificate or equivalent is preferred. Should have 7+ years of experience in Regulatory work experience in telecom industry. Should have 5+ years of experience in Competitive LEC and 911 regulatory work experience, Should have 5+ years of experience as Paralegal. Should have 3+ years of experience in Competitive LEC Tariff/Terms. Mobile telecom regulatory experience is a plus. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English is essential. Strong knowledge of telecommunications regulatory issues and processes, including 911 service is essential. Knowledge of FCC and State regulatory tariff filing requirements with ability to communicate information internally and discuss competently with state and federal regulatory agencies is essential. Ability to use personal computer with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Adobe, and PowerPoint) is essential.
