Paralegal/Legal Assistant Candidate will work directly with our attorneys to prepare for upcoming cases. Attend initial meetings with clients. Gather and review information from the client. Prepare drafts of the petition. Respond to questions from creditors and other interested parties. Prepare applications. Provide services to the bankruptcy estates. Manage the claims objection process. Establish time frames for filing financial reports. Collect accounts receivable. Prepare pleading and fix cutoff dates for filing proofs of claim. Analyze and file objections to claims. Interviewing clients. Providing ongoing communication with the client. Communicating with other parties, including creditors, debtors, trustees and court clerks. Drafting and filing documents required for the bankruptcy process.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies or Bachelorâ€™s degree is preferred. Experience with Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy is a MUST. Excellent communication and organization abilities. Industry recognized certification from organizations such as NALA or AACP. Experience in using legal database software. Obtaining credit reports. Must know how to file cases with the courts. Organized, professional, responsible, and committed to helping us meet all of clientsâ€™ needs.
