Litigation Paralegal The candidate will join law firm in the practice areas of energy, environment, litigation, land use, real estate, government relations, healthcare. Will include proofing, cite-checking and formatting legal briefs, pleadings, and memoranda in accordance with federal, state, and local rules; managing discovery using document management databases; filing documents in federal and state courts and administrative agencies; and case management.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must be an organized self-starter capable of working independently, while also being a team player. Should have strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Must be capable of anticipating and meeting deadlines. At least 2 years of relevant experience is required. Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate (or equivalent) is a plus. Must have excellent cite checking (bluebooking, shepardizing, proofing etc.) skills. Should have proficiency with an e-discovery database (such as Everlaw, Eclipse, Relativity, etc.). Should have experience using PACER for both research and filing. Should have experience using CM/ECF. Must have knowledge of Computer law. Must have knowledge of federal and state court rules and procedures, and experience filing documents in multiple forum.
