Americas Privacy Operations Lead (Paralegal) Duties: Plan and assist with privacy projects, trainings and communications. This includes engaging business units and functions, identifying key privacy deliverables, developing project plans, monitoring goal progress, supporting and following up implementations as required. Work independently on privacy matters as directed and develop/assist with the automation of privacy processes through the use of technology (including One Trust) and upkeep of the Privacy Team intranet content. This includes obtaining One Trust certifications and supporting WTW’s implementation of the One Trust solution in the privacy domain. Identify opportunities for increased automation and efficiency within the Privacy Team. Triage, organize and redirect requests for support from the business to appropriate resources in the Privacy Team and among regional country privacy officers in the Americas as required. Manage and maintain central privacy mailboxes that receive privacy related queries, data subject requests, requests for project support and other inquries. Some focused legal research and analysis of legal and compliance requirements arising from Americas privacy laws and regulations related to data protection and privacy and contract review. Organize and support enterprise-wide privacy projects by tracking tasks, monitoring completion, troubleshooting and following up as needed. Support the Americas roll out and implementation of WTW’s privacy programme and global projects. Support responses to data subject requests in the Americas region. Support and assist country privacy officers in the Americas on privacy matters. Support the company’s global privacy compliance program, including compliance with state and federal laws governing privacy and data security, privacy policies and notices, online privacy issues, and industry standards. Complete other duties as assigned from time to time. General administrative tasks including organizing and maintaining program documents in a paper and/or electronic filing system, scheduling meetings and preparing relevant materials including meeting minutes, and PowerPoint presentations. Monitor progress on Privacy Team privacy projects, trainings, and communications. Review, organize and present metrics reported from Country Privacy Officers in the region and report highlights to Global Privacy Operations Manager. Follow up and confirm actions assigned to business units and the Privacy Team from the Global Privacy Operations Manager. Engage with the larger Privacy Team globally on matters as required. Work with cross functional teams (business, compliance, legal, marketing, Information and Cyber Security, HR, finance, etc.) to help achieve compliance with privacy laws/initiatives.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Possess a certificate of completion from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program of education and training, an associate degree in paralegal or related studies, or equivalent experience, such as with complex litigation matters involving significant electronic discovery. Possess IAPP CIPP/US certification (preferred but not required). Be proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint and Excel). Have excellent research and writing skills and a willingness to further develop same. Have exceptional organizational skills to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment, including accelerating pace as appropriate to urgency as directed. Operate with integrity and communicate respectfully in language, writing, and actions (bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required). Possess strong interpersonal skills including effective oral and written communication skills.
