Flushing office of our client seeks associate attorney with experience. The candidate will serve in authoring of briefs for submission before the Board of Immigration Appeals and before the United States Court of Appeals; the authoring of motions for submission before the Board of Immigration Appeals. Will have appearances at Master Calendar Hearings, Individual Hearings, and Custody Re-Determination Hearings before the Immigration Court; appearances at Asylum Officer Interviews, Adjustment of Status Interviews, Naturalization Interviews, and other appearances before the Citizenship and Immigration Services. Preparation of family-based petitions, asylum applications, and naturalization applications. Preparation of evidentiary submissions during deportation (removal) cases, such as exhibit lists; and, the preparation of client declarations. Any law practice experience such as Real Estate, Civil Litigation, Criminal Defense, and Matrimonial is a plus. Should have a strong background in both American and Chinese law. Master?s degree in law is essential. Immigration experience preferred. Knowledge of Chinese-American law is a plus. Must be fluent in mandarin Chinese. Must passed the Bar exam and admitted in NY/NJ. Should have basic knowledge of Chinese-U.S. law.
