Profile

Program Analyst, GS 9 - 12 The candidate will serve as an analyst performing and/or supporting audits, inspections and evaluations, and investigation activities and special assignments related to the mission and functions. Will primarily serve as analyst performing and/or supporting audits, inspections and evaluations, and investigations.. Typical assignments include: Establishes methods and techniques to be utilized in projects and studies pertaining to audits, inspections and evaluations, and investigations. Plans for and conducts program assignments that focus on specific objectives. Responsible for interpreting findings that are independently developed. Prepares work papers, schedules and exhibits. Evaluates and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in a support setting. Traveling is required.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have the following qualifications:
For GS-09: Must have 1+ year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07). Examples of specialized experience at this level may include researching information from a variety of sources; writing informational reports that reflect statements of fact rather than opinion; and experience giving informal briefings in a business setting. OR A master's or equivalent graduate degree or I have 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D. degree OR A combination of the above-defined education and experience that has equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position successfully.

For GS-11: Should have 1+ year of specialized experience equivalent the next lower grade level (GS-09). Examples of specialized experience at this level includes establishing methods and techniques to be utilized in projects and studies pertaining to audits, inspections and evaluations, and investigations; and participating in discussions, meetings and conference calls to provide information. OR A Ph.D. degree or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LLM. OR A combination of the above-defined education and experience that has equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position successfully.

For GS-12: Should have 1+ year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11). Examples of specialized experience at this level includes establishing methods and techniques to be utilized in projects and studies pertaining to audits, inspections and evaluations, and investigations; developing and/or identifying techniques or methods to use in gathering data and documentation; analyzing information obtained through observation, document review, previous reports, written policies and procedures; and participating in discussions, meetings and conference calls to provide information.
