ProfileAssistant Attorney General III The candidate will perform attorney work for the Child Support Division. Will represent the State of Texas at legal proceedings to locate, establish, enforce, modify or terminate court orders for child support and medical support. Represents the State of Texas in administrative hearings. Provides legal advice, consultation and technical assistance to the Child Support Program. Develops and delivers training. Performs related work as assigned. Maintains relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functions. Attends work regularly in compliance with agreed-upon work schedule. Ensures security and confidentiality of sensitive and/or protected information. Complies with all agency policies and procedures, including those pertaining to ethics and integrity. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required. Must have Graduation from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. Should have Licensed as an attorney by the State of Texas. Must be member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas. Should have 2 years of full-time experience. Knowledge of Family Law and the Texas Family Code required. Jury Trial Experience preferred. Should preferably have 2 years of experience in handling Family Law cases. Experience in handling a high volume legal practice desired. Must have ability to proficiently read, write, and speak Spanish.
