Bankruptcy Associate The candidate will be responsible for preparation of assignments of claim, legal writing and research, preparation of pleadings and other documentation. NY Bar admission is required. Must have 3-5 years of experience for our creditor focused bankruptcy practice, including representation of buyers and sellers of claims, secured creditors, and others. Bankruptcy claims trading documentation experience is a must. Experience documenting the purchase and sale of mortgage loan pools is a plus.

"Unnecessarily Cheap"

Start paying more attention to support staff and do the right thing. They need more time off -they do not need to be micro-managed on their days off, sick days, etc. Hand them a larger more comprehensive time-off package that does NOT compartmentalize the days ( i.e. sick, personal, etc.) Give them 3-4 weeks of time off to do whatever they wish with those days. STOP THE CHEAPNESS. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!

Pros : This firm has lovely and friendly support staff who all work very hard. It has the makings of a very competitive firm, however, they need to get rid of the old school "powers that be" that keep it in the 18th century instead of the 21st.
Cons : They are ridiculously cheap, The mailroom hardly has any supplies for staff. You cannot order a specific supply for your desk and/or work product. They DO NOT give out ANY bonuses to staff other than attorneys. The support staff is in steerage and does not get any respect at all. It's all about the attorneys. They have no clue that they wouldn't even survive in this business if it weren't for the hard-working and dedicated support staff. But, the Managing HR Partner doesn't give a damn. She's old, which equals "antiquated ideologies" - she should be put out to pasture now so that a younger, more progressive, and heart-felt person can replace her.
