Attorney Advisor - Department of Health and Human Services - Office of the Secretary of Health and Human Services - Office of the General Counsel - Salary: $73,690 - $191,900 per year, based on duty location - Open to: . Citizens, Nationals, and Veterans - Location: Multiple locations, including Washington ., San Francisco, Denver, and Atlanta Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Attorney Advisor within the Office of the General Counsel. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of legal matters related to HHS programs and initiatives, including research, litigation, and providing legal advice and guidance to program officials and personnel. As a member of the Office of the General Counsel, you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of the American public. Responsibilities: - Researching, selecting and summarizing pertinent facts from case reports, interpretative legal decisions, and analogous agency precedents - Participating in administrative hearings, court actions, and other legal proceedings in defense of the Department - Reviewing and assisting in the disposition of petitions - Providing legal advice, guidance, and assistance to program officials, HHS personnel, advisory committees, and other areas as needed Requirements: - Must be a .
