A fast-growing healthcare company that is relocating from out-of-market to the Franklin / Brentwood area of Greater Nashville has a need for an attorney to serve on a long-term engagement to: (i) draft contracts; (ii) manage the company's contracting process; (iii) manage corporate record keeping and (iv) provide legal operations support to the general counsel. This engagement is likely to last six months or longer and, if there is mutual interest, this position may become permanent. If you are an energetic, detail-oriented and organized attorney who would like to help a general counsel organize a new legal department in a fast-growing company, this may be a great assignment for you. Likewise, if you are interested in getting in on the ground floor with a new legal department and test-driving an entry-level in-house counsel position, this could also be an ideal role for you. Requirements for the Attorney – In-House Corporate Counsel (Legal Operations & Contracting) 2+ years of experience in the corporate or healthcare practice area of a well respected law firm, or in a legal department, is preferred. However, recent law school graduates with exceptional professional recommendations from those familiar with their work habits, judgement and legal skills may be considered. Experience with contract drafting and negotiation desired Experience with contract management and corporate record keeping preferred Experience with HIPAA, data security, data privacy and healthcare contracting related preferred Prior corporate law firm or healthcare company experience preferred Admitted to Tennessee bar or qualified to work in-house in Tennessee is preferred (however attorneys not yet admitted may be considered for a Legal Operations Paralegal version of this role) Outstanding references Strong desire to actively engage with and learn the client’s business, build new processes, work collaboratively with the legal department and business colleagues Consumer-minded and service-oriented; get-the-job done attitude Position Details of the Attorney – In-House Corporate Counsel (Legal Operations & Contracting) Type of role: Engagement Start-date: As soon as possible Schedule: Full-time / 40 hours per week Location: Greater Nashville, TN (Franklin / Brentwood) Compensation & Benefits: Highly competitive and commensurate with experience Confidentiality Latitude will not disclose your identity or propose you to prospective clients without your prior consent.
