In-House Counsel The candidate will provide legal support in company’s efforts to acquire and finance solar energy projects. The right person has past experience with the development and financing of renewable energy projects. Review project documents and contracts, interface with capital partners, and use legal expertise to help close transactions. Should have past experience with the development and financing of renewable energy projects. Review project documents and contracts, interface with capital partners, and use legal expertise to help close transactions. Source and close solar project acquisition opportunities. Reach out to project developers to originate new opportunities. Build network of intermediaries including electrical contractors, EPCs, consultants, etc., to refer new opportunities. Manage the origination, negotiation and closing of solar project acquisitions or investments. As part of this, manage the term sheet development and negotiation. Work closely with developers, installer, and partners to evaluate new project opportunities.Advise the business on a wide range of day-to-day issues that require legal review. Must be an active member of the Bar, in good standing. Should have Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law program with minimum of 5 years of experience. should have 3 years of significant experience in project finance. Experience drafting and negotiating MIPAs, APAs, EPCs, PPAs, leases, and easements is needed.
