Collections Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys with managing a large, fast paced caseload by preparing: Collection letters, Certificates of lien, Foreclosure complaints, Answers to complaints; Dispositive motions; Small claims complaints; Municipal court complaints; Garnishment forms; Subpoenas; Payoff letters to debtors and/or title companies; Will also assist with various cover letters to courts, recording offices, etc., and various other tasks, as necessary, pertaining to collection files. Correspondence, telephone calls, and emails to clients, debtors, title companies, courts. Court, recorder and fiscal office filings in person, online and via regular mail. Closing collection files. Updating tasks lists and database. Will also assist with general office duties on an as needed basis including, but not limited to, proofreading various pleadings/correspondence/articles; preparation for Firm seminars/presentations to clients.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have an associate degree. Must have 1-3 years experience in a law firm; experience in debt collection is desired. Paralegal Certificate required. Must have United States work authorization. Must be able to work efficiently and independently. Must have strong time management and multi-tasking skills.
