Attorney General's Office The candidate will provide legal advice and representation to the Department of Insurance including the State Fire Marshal (Department). The primary duties include: representing the Department in all phases of administrative contested cases and limited civil litigation; drafting and analyzing proposed legislation, rules, contracts, policies and procedures; providing legal advice and assistance to the Director and Department in all aspects of insurance regulation; providing legal advice and assistance to the Director on human resource issues; conferring with agency employees on application and enforcement of Insurance Code; providing training on legal issues to agency employees, and assisting with various administrative and legal projects. Other duties include those assigned by the Office of the Attorney General. Must be licensed to practice law in Idaho, and prior litigation experience is preferred.
