Senior Simulations Specialist, GS 11 Responsibilities: The candidate will provide expertise in developing and managing computer drive constructive simulations for corps, division, brigade, battalion and company levels and their integration with live and virtual simulations. Develop training plans for the Live, Virtual, Constructive Integrated Training Environment (LVC-ITE) and prepare concept papers, information and decision memoranda. Serve as the LVC Training/Plans Officer responsible for planning and executing simulations in support of Brigade Combat Team (BCT) level Command Post Exercises (CPXs). Discuss goals and exercise requirements with unit Commanders and recommend appropriate simulations to accomplish the goals. Give command staff briefings, explaining the use and advantages of simulations to visiting dignitaries. Develop and manage operation of simulation exercises and Command Post Exercise (CPX) plans and instructions. Manage opposing forces (OPFOR) threat portion and friendly blue forces (BLUFOR) response portion of exercises specializing in tactics, doctrine, organization and equipment. Coordinate and de-conflict LVC activities.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service which includes providing training assistance with simulation and simulator facilities using multiple live, constructive, virtual simulations, and mission command information systems.
Should have Ph.D degree or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Education. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.).
