Paralegal The candidate will perform a variety of duties, all of which require the application of analytical skills to research, review, prepare, and process legal documents related to employment and labor matters. Will serve as an integral member of Labor and Employment Legal team that oversees the Companyâ€™s compliance with employment and labor laws and regulations. Serving as a labor and employment Legal team liaison to company management, third parties, and outside counsel to effectively manage flow and accuracy of information in employment and labor related matters. Assist with labor and employment investigations and hearings. Coordinating requests for information from federal, state and local governmental agencies in collaboration with Labor and Employment Legal team members. Organizing, maintaining and supervising document collection for labor and employment matters. In collaboration with the Labor and Employment Legal team attorneys, provide support to and communicate with outside counsel regarding administrative charges, litigation matters and discovery requests. Conducting legal research on various labor and employment issues. Managing and processing updates to Company policies, guidelines, and checklists. Supporting the Labor and Employment team in case administration. Preparing and maintaining employment related reports through manipulation human resources related data. Keeping abreast of developments in key areas of employment law and work with Labor and Employment team to make necessary adjustments in a timely manner.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Paralegalâ€™s Certificate or Bachelorâ€™s Degree. Should have 5+ years of relevant experience performing legal support duties as a paralegal in a corporate or law firm setting; experience in human resources may be substituted for paralegal experience. Should have the legal right to work in the United States. Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Acrobat, Sharepoint, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome is preferred. . Experience working with HRIS systems is a plus. Demonstrated experience with legal research utilizing either Lexis or Westlaw is preferred. Effective oral and written communications skill is preferred. Solid understanding of legal ethics rules and previous experience dealing with confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner is preferred.
