A law firm in Bloomfield Hills, MI, is seeking a General Litigation/Transportation Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in transportation law and litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in handling a variety of litigation matters, including commercial litigation, premises liability, general negligence, property damage, construction, personal injury, Michigan No-Fault, Third Party & Commercial Auto Liability, and Network Transportation Claims. This role requires excellent research, legal writing, and communication skills, along with the ability to independently manage litigation cases and client relationships.

 

Duties:

  • Independently handle litigation matters such as commercial litigation, premises liability, general negligence, property damage, construction, and personal injury.
  • Manage Michigan No-Fault, Third Party & Commercial Auto Liability, and Network Transportation Claims.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal briefs.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Argue motions in court.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Manage client relations and case management responsibilities.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Active membership in the State Bar of Michigan and in good standing.
  • 3-5 years of experience in transportation law and litigation practice.
  • Strong proficiency in Michigan No-Fault, Third Party & Commercial Auto Liability, and Network Transportation Claims.
  • Experience in all aspects of litigation, including motion practice and courtroom advocacy.
  • Excellent research, legal brief writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
