Director of Compliance Duties: Responsible for developing and maintaining contract administration policies and procedures across Clubs. Charged with oversight and review, to help ensure best practices are adhered to with grant awards and contracts entered into by the organization, including: contracts for goods or professional services, as well as public and private grant awards. Demonstrate philosophy, objectives, and standards of integrity, courage, service, effectiveness, and authenticity. Model respect and inclusivity towards members, employees, families, and the community. Oversee contract compliance activities; implement actions necessary to ensure an effective compliance program. Evaluate the efficiency of contract controls for continuous improvement; develop, initiate, maintain, and revise written policies and procedures for the general operation of the compliance program. Identify areas of potential vulnerability and risk; develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future. Educate and train BGCGM staff on policies and procedures related to contract administration, risk reduction, and compliance. Stay abreast of local, state, and national business and government trends related to grants and contract compliance. Create periodic reports to inform staff and other interested stakeholders of progress with compliance efforts. Establish and oversee an internal Compliance Committee comprised of representatives from all departments. Develop written policies, guidelines, and contract signature procedures to protect interests and mitigate risks. Coordinate the process and approval of solicitation documents. Consult with the COO on contract compliance issues where the potential risk of exposure is significant; assist with preparing records in defense of third-party claims or enforcement of contracts, as necessary. Conduct internal compliance audits related to contractual matters; collaborate with various departments to maintain internal controls for tracking contracts, grant awards, and outcome measurements. Manage a safe and positive environment through adherence to Member Care Manual policies and procedures. Monitor contracts and grant activities to ensure compliance by third parties. Draft, review, update, and maintain a current executed copy of grant awards and contracts entered into. Collaborate with departmental staff to help ensure compliance with contracts and funded grants, including those with private and public funders, and community partners. Coordinate with Human Resources staff to develop compliance training. Complete individual training as required, and local, state and national funders. Perform other relevant tasks that may be assigned by the COO.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: JD Degree. 5+ years in a role directly overseeing a compliance program, or 10 years of general contracts experience, preferably with a non-profit or governmental organization. Experience managing multiple projects/tasks; proven track record of effectively working autonomously as well as in team environment. Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills; must be highly organized and detail oriented. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
