Assistant General Counsel - Forward Mortgage Originations Duties: Advises business, product development, and compliance teams on forwarding mortgage originations matters, including but not limited to: mortgage marketing compliance, forward mortgage guideline changes, Ability to Repay/Qualified Mortgage analysis, title issues, and other mortgage regulatory compliance issues under the supervision of Associate General Counsel. Manages outside counsel with respect to the same. Reviews and approves attorney invoices for handled matters. Conducts reviews of mortgage-related Change of Law alerts in Archer and assists in the implementation of same. Escalates to Associate General Counsel as necessary. Assists Compliance with examiner research questions with the assistance of Associate General Counsels. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification and ExperienceQualifications: JD - Juris Doctor. Requires 3-5 years of mortgage origination experience at a law firm or in-house. Admitted to the State Bar in the state where practicing.
