Litigation Assistant Candidate will work for personal injury law firm. Will perform work directly related to the management of case files. Litigation duties will include: calendar and observe all statute dates and deadlines; schedule discovery such as depositions; prepare pleadings; create document lists; and maintain contact with opposing counsel. The pre-litigation tasks may include: meeting with clients to gather documentation; investigate and document pertinent information; monitor client's progress; secure records, bills and reports; prepare demand letters; and maintain excellent client contact.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Paralegal certification preferred. 2+ years of litigation experience in plaintiff personal injury law. Must have strong computer skills and the ability to learn software applications quickly. Careful attention to detail is critical. Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to effectively prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously. Must consistently follow through and follow-up, have a positive attitude, be motivated and a self-starter, be productive and engaged, and must be 100% committed to providing top-notch service to clients. Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
