Associate Attorney Duties: Working with General Counsel and assisting in protecting the Company’s legal interests, maintaining legally compliant operations, contributing to risk management, and corporate governance. Responsible for drafting, negotiating, and editing contracts; Assistance with company filings; Assist with drafting compliance documents; Assist the Corporate Secretary with subsidiary management and governance; Assist Corporate Secretary with preparation for board meetings; Liaising with auditors to document compliance; Keeping abreast of regulatory and statutory changes, updating policies and distributing departmental memoranda and training assistance; Maintaining and updating legally compliant claims forms; Management of Complaint Department, working with assistant to monitor and approve responses.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Law Degree; Florida Bar License Five years’ experience corporate law, including corporate governance and SEC compliance; Advanced telephone and computer skills; and Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite. Proven track record of successful analytical and organizational skills; Capable of independent decision-making and prioritization; Must be able to work in a capacity with strict privacy and confidentiality requirements both inside and outside the organization; Highly motivated and a strategic thinker; Strong follow up skills; IT skills to include Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, Excel; Interpersonal communication skills; Excellent grammar; Information gathering and monitoring skills; Excellent writing and editing skills; Issue identification and problem solving skills; Judgment and decision-making ability; Initiative and innovative; Discretion; and Attention to detail and accuracy.
