Administrative Paralegal The candidate: Processes incoming Texas Public Information Act (TPIA) requests from WebQA, mail and intergovernmental transfers in a timely manner. Processes requests from the Office. Requests documents from varies departments. Reviews and edits documents prior to sending out. Enters data into various Legal Services databases. Continues legal education. Performs other duties and assignments as required and necessary. High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency; and Paralegal Certificate is essential. Knowledge of creating spreadsheets in Excel and Mail Merges is essential. Should have knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure. Associate's degree is essential. Should have experience working in a legal/law office environment. Must have knowledge of Justice Information Management Systems (JIMS) and WebQA. Must be bilingual in Spanish. Knowledge of Rules of Federal Procedure and of Texas Public Information Act is needed. Application deadline: 12/29/17.
