A prestigious law firm in Charleston, SC, seeks a dedicated and experienced Attorney Specialist to join its Asset Management and Investment Funds (AMIF) practice group. This is a permanent, non-partnership track role ideal for legal professionals with a strong background in mutual funds, ETFs, and the Investment Company Act of 1940. The position offers a collaborative environment where the candidate will work closely with partners and associates to support significant client relationships and complex legal matters.
Duties
- Draft and review mutual fund and ETF filings, including new fund launch documentation.
- Update mutual fund registration statements and shareholder reports.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing board materials for mutual funds.
- Research issues related to the Investment Company Act of 1940.
- Provide project management support for client matters, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with partners and associates to maintain and enhance client relationships.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in mutual funds, ETFs, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of the Investment Company Act of 1940 and asset management regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Commitment to providing exceptional client service.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Licensed to practice law in at least one . jurisdiction.
