ProfileWarrington office of our client seeks regional managing attorney with 8 years of default experience with lenders and mortgage services. The candidate will be responsible for default litigation and attorney oversight for two or more state jurisdictions to ensure necessary legal services are effectively delivered. Will establish regional priorities and objectives. Provide strategic leadership, vision and direction for regional performance. Establish clear objectives, including short and long term priorities based upon sound business and legal principles. Ensure compliance with corporate and divisional guidelines and standards. Ensure the implementation of strategic initiatives and compliance directives in a timely manner. Ensure that highly qualified talent is hired and trained. Implement processes and policies to gain efficiencies and improve effectiveness. Work collaboratively to ensure consistency across regions. Provide guidance on legal process and qualification in multiple jurisdictions. Develop contacts and collaborate with Marketing to provide input and ensure appropriate outreach activities for continued business growth. Communicate regularly with Operations, Associates and other colleagues to inform of changes, statuses, issues, and developments. Cooperate and contribute to the development and advancement of the firm. Provide litigation oversight and internal escalation and review of litigation issues, problematic legal issues, firm issues, and client relation issues which may arise, consult and advise on trial strategies, conducts periodic internal quality audits. Review state case management procedures and practices, including case coverage and appearance calendars to assure adequate resources are allocated to achieve client goals; resolve conflicts and authorizes local counsel consistent with client requirements and firm policies. Serve as co-counsel with other legal staff and/or outside counsel on litigation, as needed. Utilize on-line and other references to research and analyze statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, codes and the like; advise Management, Managing Attorneys and others about relevant changes, including impact analysis, recommendations for change and change implementation. Recommend and drive continuous improvement for client service. Monitor state attorney billing practices; set goals, provide internal and external training as required for effective client service and business growth. Review case management system reports to ensure integrity standards are achieved and upheld. Collaborate with direct reports in developing objectives and other standards; provides mentoring and guidance to state attorneys and associates. Hold direct reports accountable for high levels of client service, including timely response, good scorecards, and effective representation of client interests consistent with client requirements across all lines of business. Formally evaluate direct reports annually; provide formal and informal feedback on-going and as needed. Recommend compensation changes. Foster a supportive work environment. Keep current on relevant laws, regulations, statutes, industry standards and client expectations. Provide self and associates with training and opportunities to enhance skills, knowledge and abilities. Hold mentoring and candid career development conversations with staff. Must have Bar Admission active and in good standing in PA, NJ, or NY. Multiple licenses are preferred. Knowledge of laws related to practice areas, legal codes and court procedures is needed. Should have 3+ years of experience managing other attorneys. Experience in various client systems used in default services, such as LPS, Lenstar, and Vendorscape is preferred.
