Legal Specialist - Employment Law
The candidate will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing of incoming employment law matters, including EEOC Charges, DOL complaints, whistleblower complaints, and similar complaints and investigations. Gathering internal documents and information relevant to employment law matters. Maintaining litigation case files, including those involving pleadings and discovery. Supporting internal and external legal counsel in identifying relevant information and developing defense strategies. Working with internal legal counsel and/or business clients to improve existing human resources practices and procedures. Managing interactions with external counsel and performing necessary research to respond to complaints and discovery requests. Assisting internal legal counsel with employment law legal advice matters and projects.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree or military experience or paralegal certification or 2+ years of experience as a paralegal with an in-house legal department or a law firm. Should have experience managing employment law litigation and complaints as a paralegal with an in-house legal department or a law firm. Should have ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects, and meet deadlines under pressure. Should have capability to anticipate and resolve problems quickly and independently. Should be skilled in planning and execution of special projects during time-critical assignments.
