Legal Operations Assistant The candidate will assist the General Counsel with the day-to-day operations of running a small yet high volume legal department to include contract/task review, document review, legal research, drafting of documents, database management and process implementation. Will investigate and resolve compliance issues, implement procedures for monitoring compliance guidelines, maintain files and databases of all records relating to compliance and risk, manage LDA filings, and participate in compliance audits. Additional compliance responsibilities include reviewing and processing organizational financial, tax and HR reports, formulating responses and corrective actions regarding these reports, and distributing information regarding new and ongoing requirements on behalf of the General Counsel. Complement legal team and process with being constructive in his/her approach. It is essential to show flexibility to work cross functionally across departments in effort to build relationships while always demonstrating a positive attitude and the ability to work well with others, and learn. Take initiative and show discretion while completing assignments with/without supervision. Bring the organization up to compliance standards and assist in filing all necessary tax documents. Conduct departmental compliance reviews as needed. Research and report on regulatory changes to ensure compliance. Re-train employees and resolve matters in the event of compliance guideline violations. Assist with training new employees on compliance procedures as needed. Manage Legal Database in cooperation with other legal department staff, and formulate weekly progress/workflow reports for the General Counsel and legal department staff. Maintain Archive, Legal Process and Auto-Renewal for Contracts. Bachelor's degree is required. 2 years of experience in a legal/accounting/compliance related field required. Experience using Salesforce and Jira Management Software preferred. Microsoft Office suite expert is required.
