Job Overview:
A law firm specializing in creditors’ rights law is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney for its Florida office. This role offers the opportunity to take on significant responsibility, manage a variety of legal tasks, and contribute to the success of the Florida practice. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation and/or collections experience, be detail-oriented, and able to prioritize effectively in a high-volume environment. Location:
Duties:
- Assist with managing the Florida practice
- Handle hearings and legal matters in the state of Florida
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys
- Monitor case progress and develop strategies for efficient resolution
- Review documents, financials, notices, and demand letters to ensure all conditions precedent are met before filing actions
- Draft and review pleadings and correspondence to initiate legal actions
- Ensure internal systems are updated with findings, documentation, and recommendations
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all work
- Safeguard compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements
- Handle contested matters, including discovery and trials
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of litigation or collections experience
- Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently
- Bar membership in Florida
