Paralegal/Office Manager Candidate will work closely with attorneys and clients to support the drafting and implementation of trusts, estate plans, probate, Medicaid, and related documents. Will provide exceptional service to every client with individual attention, responsiveness, and a commitment to understanding clients’ goals and needs. Duties include:Answering phones and speaking with clients and potential clients; Managing attorney schedules; Scheduling client intake appointments, phone conferences, and follow up appointments; Reading, editing, and drafting legal documents including Wills, durable Powers of Attorney, Health Care Directives, real estate documents, Medicaid applications, letters and other related instruments; Preparing Estate Planning Notebooks for clients; Organizing and digitalizing client files; Receiving, sending, and documenting all incoming and outgoing mail and faxes; and Office Management – open & close the office daily, order office supplies, make bank deposits, clean the office, water plants, etc.
Qualification and Experience
REQUIREMENTS: Must have: Associate’s degree in related discipline with 3-5 years prior Paralegal / Office Management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Paralegal Certification preferred. Advanced computer skills including Windows-based applications such as MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and supplemental machinery including printers, scanners, fax machines, and copiers. Experience and familiarity with HotDocs document assembly software preferred, as well as Clio or other online practice management software system. Polished professional with outgoing personality, team player mentality, and passion for making guests feel at home. Excellent organization, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the public, other employees, and vendors. Ability to conduct client and company relationships with high degree of integrity and professionalism in a supportive, respectful manner.
