Family Law Attorney Duties: Represent eligible clients in family law matters where domestic violence is involved. Provide quality legal representation; work on grants supporting family law efforts; assist with the timely preparation of grant reports; engage in outreach and community education; and engage with the statewide network of advocates representing clients experiencing domestic violence.
Qualification and ExperienceQualifications: Admitted in MA or eligible for admission. Prior family law experience. Experience representing vulnerable populations is desired. Supervisory and/or leadership experience is a plus. Fluency in a second language like Spanish, Portuguese, Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole, Vietnamese, Khmer is an asset. Commitment to working with clients who may have experienced poverty, trauma or discrimination. Ability to work independently and as a team member; goal and detail oriented with ability to prioritize; ability to be flexible and multi-task. Commitment to race equity, anti-racism and economic justice in the workplace and in providing legal services. Ability to engage effectively in person and remotely with people from diverse cultures, diverse opinions and values, including staff, volunteers, students, community members and funders.
