A law firm in Washington, ., is seeking a Health Care Associate Attorney who will focus on regulatory analysis and policy advising related to the Medicaid program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in and enthusiasm for complex regulatory and policy questions pertaining to Medicaid, along with a passion for supporting projects that enhance access to affordable, high-quality health care services.

 

Job Overview:

The candidate will be responsible for providing regulatory analysis and policy advising specifically related to the Medicaid program. This role requires a deep understanding of Medicaid issues, including coverage, reimbursement, managed care delivery systems, and demonstration projects under section 1115 of the Social Security Act. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effectively communicating regulatory analysis to legal audiences and synthesizing complex information for lay audiences.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct regulatory analysis and provide policy advice related to Medicaid program issues.
  • Research and analyze Medicaid regulations, policies, and guidance.
  • Assist in developing strategies to enhance access to affordable, high-quality health care services through Medicaid.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address Medicaid-related challenges and opportunities.
  • Stay updated on changes in Medicaid regulations, policies, and trends.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Washington, ., or eligibility for reciprocity.
  • 2-4 years of health care regulatory experience, with a focus on coverage and reimbursement.
  • Demonstrated experience and interest in Medicaid issues, including coverage, reimbursement, managed care delivery systems, or section 1115 demonstration projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for legal and lay audiences.
  • Ability to analyze complex regulatory and policy issues.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of Washington, ., or eligibility for reciprocity.

 

Skills:
